Plot: On the night of Rachel Verinder’s 18th birthday, her cousin
and lover Franklin Blake gives her an Indian diamond she inherited
from her uncle. After the party, the diamond goes missing and a
long investigation begins. Franklin is accused by Rachel of being
the thief. Thus, he decides to leave the country and comes back a
year later to re-enact the events and clear his name.

things was a challenge."
