Plot: The plot is told from the point of view of William
Blight who recalls the events that led to the mutiny of
HMS Bounty, formerly at his command. After their stay in
Tahiti, divisions arise amongst the crew. Fletcher
becomes the leader of the mutineers, who together send
off Blight and those loyal to him adrift on a boat. The

narration then follows the journeys of both groups,
escaping punishment and attempting to return safely at
home respectively.
